Mastopexy - Breast Lift

A woman's breasts often change shape over time, losing their youthful shape and firmness. These changes can result from pregnancy, breast feeding, weight changes, aging, and gravity. Heredity may also be a factor, and a woman in her teens may also experience loose, sagging breast tissue.
A breast lift, or mastopexy, is surgery done to uplift and improve the shape of a sagging breast that has lost firmness and skin elasticity. There are many variations to the procedure, and the specific location of incisions is determined by the amount of excess skin and the degree of lift necessary.
